Who are you? Is the person you are at home with your family different from the person you are when you are at work? Should it be? Should it matter? I ask because I am not so sure. In the wake of hearing about John Edwards,Tiger Woods, Bernie Madoff, Eliot Spitzer. Ok, 3 out of 4 involve other women and 1 involves your money, but they all have one thing in common–they left people feeling robbed. We felt we knew them and instead we were taken for a ride. Should people in the public eye be held to a higher standard than the guy down the street?
Enough finger pointing. What are those guys thinking and feeling? Did they feel forced to be someone in the public that they never were? Were John, Tiger and Eliot players before they got into the public eye? Was Bernie a 2 bit hustler at heart on the streets of New York asking people to “Pick a card, any card,” before he started making some real dough?
Love ’em or Hate ’em, we can remove ourselves from that situation, but they have to live with themselves. At the end of the day, when you look at the man/woman in the mirror, how do you feel?
Affirmation of the Day: I am who I am when no one is looking. How I feel about myself matters most.
Question of the Day: Can you live with yourself?
