In this post we focus on thought leadership on the road to becoming a Brand Inside a Brand. Thought leadership is one of three parts in Phase 4 (Lead) of becoming a Brand Inside a Brand.
We’ve already spoken about Phase 1: Assessment ; Phase 2: Build (Relationships and Community) and Phase 3: Manage (Projects and Time/Priorities). Now let’s take a look at Thought Leadership.
My Thoughts on Thought Leadership
We all have thoughts, ideas, a story and a perspective–a unique perspective. The more we share it, the more people get to know our world view and appreciate us for who we are.
Two Tools I Recommend
Pulse: the first one is going to help you curate information; so gather information. I already know you are reading tons of things online and offline. What if you could put all that information on one site so you saved time looking for information? Pulse.me can help you do just that.
Pulse allows you to curate information and it’s aesthetically pleasing; you are gonna want to go check it out and have all of the different sites that you visit in one place.
Meddle: after you have your information curated with Pulse; you’ll want to share that information. This next tool here is called “Meddle.it“
Meddle allows you to share information in a very unique way.
Usually, you go to a site, read an article and maybe there’s a certain paragraph you want to comment on so you go, “Hey, you know paragraph 2, line 3, these are my thoughts on it.”
What if you could highlight the line from paragraph 2, line 3 and solely comment on that. That is what Meddle allows you to do. It allows you to take certain parts of an article and share your thoughts on it.
As if that weren’t enough; they also allow you to curate your comments, so you have your own Meddle page where you can go and find all the stuff that you shared. You can also take your Meddle page and embed it on your website. So now people get to see your thought leadership in a very unique way. Not to mention if you comment on several parts of one an article you have several pieces of individual content instead of just one comment.
Helping your employees build their own personal brand is the best reward you could give them. Need help? I’d love to learn more about your specific situation; use this link to connect: Let’s Connect
