My friends talked me into running my first Spartan Race. I held out as long as I could because I knew that once I put my mind to it, I was going to be all in.
I trained for a few weeks, ran the race and was off to catch a flight to California for a speaking engagement. I was hurting and told myself and my good friend Joel Louis that
I would never run that race again…unless it was for charity.
Well guess what?
One week later I was at the Inbound13 conference in Boston and got to hear Scott Harrison from charity: water share the story of the company for the 2nd time (the first time was at WDS). Paul Young, also from charity: water spoke about their new September campaign where they are looking to raise $2 Million in September and the money will help to bring clean water to 100 villages in Orissa, India.
I was in. But how could I help to raise the money? Watch the brief video below to see what I’m gonna do to help bring clean water to 10 families in Orissa:

No Man Is An Island
There is no way I will be able to do this alone. I NEED your help. Will you help? Here are a few way how:
- Visit my charity: water campaign site and donate what you can: my.charitywater.org/spartan-spandex
- Share the information with your network with the link to this quote: “Help @AmbassadorBruny and @CharityWater bring clean water to 10 families in India. bit.ly/15pMJjv“
- Join my team and wear yellow with me on September 21
- Donate something that I can give away as a prize
Thank You
This is a bit of a stretch for me. I don’t usually like asking people to donate, but I believe in the cause and I believe in charity: water. They are unique in that 100% of the donations go towards building a well in developing countries and they actually provide you with the GPS coordinates of the well.
Will you join me? $45 gets 1 person clean water, $450 gets 1 family clean water. The mission is to get 10 families clean water by September 21.
As Always, my goal is to help you Run the Point (Take Action) from where you are, with what you have. This time I need your help to Run the Point.
Your Ambassador,
Mike Ambassador Bruny
