I’m one who is big on preparation; mostly because I’m a bit of a processor. With that being said, I put in my name for the opportunity to give a 3 minute speech at this year’s World Domination Summit in Portland, OR. I did not get selected (loved the ones that did) but I did prepare something just in case. I would hate for what I put together to go to waste in my head so I decided to put it in a video for you. An Even Deeper Look aka Behind the Bow Tie
I haven’t 100% discovered how I will use all the principles as part of my business. At the moment I’m focused on the, “People You Meet,” portion of it all with my site, The New Art of Conference Networking.
Personally, I write down the 7 principles of the Ambassador’s Creed everyday in real simple terms like: Take Action, Focus on Strengths, Seek Help, Read, Connect, Give and Live. I use it as a reminder and cue when i’m stuck. For example, when I don’t want to make a phone call or send out an email for fear of rejection, I’ll utter, “Run the Point,” and that will get me going. Feel free to do the same.
As always my goal is to help you Run the Point (Take Action) from where you are, with what you have.
