Hip Hop Affirmation of the Day#57

Go, go, go! But wait a minute you have to take a moment to breathe and check on your progress and plan what you’re going to do next.

I recall reading about a famous reporter going sailing all alone and having his biggest breakthroughs during those times. The same thing seemed to happen with Jesus, with all the work he did and all the followers he had, he still would go to the mountain to pray…alone. There is something about solitude and being with your thoughts, your (fill in the blank) for me it’s GOD. I’ve been threatening to take time off each quarter so I could reflect and prepare for the upcoming quarter, but people, I must be honest, I have failed. I found excuses not to get away.

I’m looking for a place I can go and be alone with my thoughts at the end of March, June, September and December. Any ideas? Anyone have a vacation home sitting idle where I could crash for my reflection weekend? WiFi is a plus, but not mandatory.

Maybe we should start an annual Hip Hop Affirmation Reflection Weekend that takes place at the end of the year so we are really Running the Point when the new year rolls around. December may be too long to wait, so if anyone wants to be part of the planning committee, we can make something happen in June.

Affirmation of the Day: I take time to reflect and plan so my actions are purposeful

Question of the Day: What would taking a moment to reflect and plan do for your personal and business life?

Action of the Day: Plan 1hr this week when you will reflect on the past week and plan for the upcoming week.

Run the Point; from where you are, with what you have!
