This is the first post of 2011 for hip hop affirmations.com. I trust that 2011 is treating you well and you are ready to get things going; I know I am. Interestingly enough I feel like I have one foot in 2011 and another one still in 2010 with things to wrap-up.
As they say in show biz, “The show must go on.”
What’s different in 2011
The biggest difference you will notice is the challenge that I have taken on to bring you what I am calling, “The Lyrical Mash up.” I will still bring you the best, the freshest and most inspirational hip hop lyrics, but now I’ve added an equivalent “traditional” inspirational quote.
Today’s quotes are a perfect example. You have one from Emerson and one from Eminem (Marshall Mathers); two gentleman whose work you would not expect to see on the same page. In the quote above, they are both talking about having confidence.
The concept for the Mash up, was sparked as I noticed how many people love quotes and how many people love hip hop music (me being one of them). I decided to combine the two in hopes that it will open up your world to something a little different.
So, whether you are a young professional whose screen saver has quotes from the likes of Emerson or you are a college student whose screen saver has quotes from Eminem, I invite you to check out the other side. Stay tuned to see how we continue to help you use Hip Hop as a form of Personal/Professional development.
