Affirmation of the Day: I keep my head up

I never get tired of telling the story of when I was a kid walking down the block in Brooklyn with my head down.  I don’t quite remember why my head was down, but I remember a crackhead coming up to me and saying, “Don’t you ever walk with your head down.”

Things have never been the same since.  I make sure I keep my head up and I suggest you do the same.  Just give it a try; Throwing your shoulders back, lifting your chin a bit makes you look regal (that’s right I’m talking King and Queen status).

From a coaching perspective (every so often I have to remind my people that I am a certified life coach)  sometimes you have to start with your body.  We spend a lot of time in our heads when it comes to making change.  Starting from the body and taking on what you would like to embody can have an impact.  Today, let’s walk around tall and see how it makes you feel.

As always, don’t forget to report back on your results.

Question of the Day:What do you use to remind you to keep your head up?

Action of the Day: Push your shoulders back, lift your chin a bit and stand up tall
