Affirmation of the Day: I use whatever form of communication that is available for me to express myself
At times my verbal words just don’t come out right or need time to be formulated. In those times I turn to a trusted journal to help me freestyle until I can find the words to verbally express myself. I think this goes back to growing up as a kid and hating when my mom and sister would argue. As the youngest in the house, I felt as if I did not have a voice to express how I was feeling. One day I just picked up a journal and started expressing myself. I really haven’t stopped since. I now have both a notebook where I capture my thought and I also have an electronic journal in the form of an app on my iPhone called Evernote. If you’ve never used Evernote, you need to start today. You don’t need an iPhone to use it. It works on your desktop and syncs to a number of mobile devices. Sometimes you just don’t have someone to talk to or just can’t get the words to come out right. In those times I suggest you write instead.
