Affirmation of the Day: I am so ready for my turn
I think back to the volunteer work I did as a presenter for INROADS which may have looked like a waste of time. That opportunity actually forced me to create workshop presentations and gave me the confidence to create my own workshops from scratch. I think back on how it allowed me to connect with someone who used to run INROADS in Kansas City in a way I would not have been able to if I did not take the volunteer opportunity and took it seriously. I think back to working on commission for entrepreneur Andre Taylor going from store to store and making cold calls trying to sell personal development packages. I did not sell much, but I did build my sales skills and resilience when it comes to sharing an opportunity with others.
I share all of this to let you know that what you are doing right now is not a waste of time if you are learning in the process. Your time to shine will come; be ready by putting in the work right now.
