Affirmation of the Day: I remember those who have come before me and honor their lives
There was this guy who would tell me funny jokes, make sure that I stayed on the right path when I got out of line and all of a sudden he was gone. That man was my dad, Gesner Angel Bruny, who one year ago today passed away. I spend today remembering his life not his death. Remembering how he wanted things to be and how he added his own presence to everything. How he emphasized family being family. I’m in Netherlands and the rest of my family is back in the U.S. so i’m in remembrance with my peeps on this side of the ocean at the moment. I raise my glass of rum and coke in honor of you pop!–I don’t usually drink soda, but that was his drink.
