Affirmation of the Day: I set both my principles and standards high.
What kind of people do you surround yourself with? Are you surrounded by folks who tell you what you want to hear and avoid those who will really, really tell you how it is? I was fortunate to know a guy who would not let my principles or standards slide. He’s the kind of guy I try and rub elbows with as often as possible. I listen to what he has to say in person and through his audio programs. His name is Andre Taylor and he served as a boss, mentor, business coach and friend. He inspired the discovery of the “Ambassador” in Ambassador Bruny. He always pushes me to reach higher and know that I can make more money to do more things for more people.
Recently when I was planning for my trip to Holland and asking for folks to “Chip in,” he reminded me that I have a bigger game that I could play by putting on a workshop or seminar that would generate more money and have more of an impact on those I want to serve. He continues to give so much and we should all be so lucky to have those kind of people in our lives. How serious am I about what this guy has to say? Let’s put it this way, This Saturday he is having a seminar at the Brooklyn Marriott about closing bigger deals for your business (more details below) and I will be working on Friday night and on Saturday morning I will be taking the three hours and thirty minute drive from Massachusetts to be there for the 10 a.m. start. If that’s not believing in someone’s work and the impact it can have I don’t know what is!
