Affirmation of the Day: I am connected to a higher power, which allows me to shine in every situation
It’s hot! “Thank you captain obvious.” It’s so hot that my condo complex has been having issues with the power going on and off. Over the pass couple of days we’ve experienced random outages, some longer than others. Imagine coming home from a beautiful day on Martha’s Vineyard for your anniversary only to find all the power in your house out. “What’s going on? and how long has this been going on?” Those are the quick thoughts, but then again, there is a different way of looking at the situation. It could be a higher power saying, “Hey, forget the lights, keep this anniversary going via candlelight.” You know what, we did. I lit up some candles and we were able to spend time together without the urge to jump on one of our laptops (“I’m from the apple which means I’m the Mac, She’s a PC…–Sorry folks, I just had to do it, I had to do it. Lyric from Venus vs. Mars).
There are a couple of lessons to learn: 1. Get creative; 2. Make sure you use your cell phone as your alarm clock. There is nothing worst than setting the house alarm clock to get you up at a certain time and then waking up to see it blinking 12:00.
