Affirmation of the Day: “I am confident”
Before any presentation, workshop or pretty much anything that I’m involved in, I do to things: 1. recite the Lord’s prayer and 2. I talk to myself. I remind myself that something great is about to happen and I am prepared for whatever comes my way. It sounds a lot like what you would expect to hear from an elite athlete before a game: “I’m the best. They can’t stop me. I’m so ready for this. They have no idea what’s in store for them.” That is my confidence allowing me to go past fear, hesitation and doubt. Check out this email I got today that gives another look at confidence and why it works:
“With self-confidence, Mike, the world bows to greet you and coincidence becomes your partner.
And self-confidence comes from loving yourself.
And loving yourself comes from knowing that you are, still, exactly who I most want to be.”
