Hip Hop Affirmation of the Day#159

“FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO THANK MY CONNECT, THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON WITH ALL DUE RESPECT.” ~Jay-Z(Roc Boys)

Affirmation of the Day: I am well connected because I am ready to give.

I have a predisposition to being grateful for all the things that have been given to me.  I believe it allows me to connect and be connected with some pretty cool people.  At times I can take this for granted because I do not hesitate to reach out and connect to be, even if I don’t know them–i.e. it feels easy to me.  The secret to my success?  It’s what I have come to call F.O.S (Focus On Service).  Read more about it hear: http://runthepoint.blogspot.com/2009/04/doing-it-fos.html

Sorry for the late Affirmation but I was in NYC for a quick spell to watch my man Hans get inducted as the head of his Masonic lodge and to connect with one of my peeps who has been very helpful in my journey to build an enterprise and work on my next book project; “Good looking out Jude; it was good to meet you in person.” I never get tired of telling this story because it epitomizes what networking and connecting is all about– Jude is someone I met on Facebook and we have a couple of friends in common.  To make a long story short, we spoke on the phone a couple of times and he was willing to–on the spot–put me on a 3-way phone call with two different people who have had a huge impact on my view on branding and publishing my next book and business.  That’s networking baby!

Question of the Day: Who do you need to connect with to make a change in your situation?  How can you be of service to them?

Action of the Day: Find 5 people to network with by asking, “How may I be of service to you.”

Run the Point from where you are, with what you have!
