Hip Hop Affirmation of the Day#153

“THE ONLY TIME WE GOT IS THE TIME WE MAKE AND THAT TIME COULD NEVER BE REPLACED.” ~Jared Evan (Frozen)

Affirmation of the Day: The only time I have is the time I make

Have you heard the saying, “If you want something done, give it to a busy person.” Why is that?  It doesn’t seem to make sense on the surface, except for the fact that the busy person will make the time, get things done and move on.  The person with time on their hands may run into the temptation to procrastinate.  Oh, I speak from experience: When I was a student-athlete everyday was filled with some kind of practice or game to be played.  I was able to manage my time to include my athletics, my academics and my extracurricular activities such as my fraternity and peer counseling.  You would think once the athletic season was over and I now had an extra free 2hrs a day I would get more school work done…that wasn’t the case.  I found ways to procrastinate and waste those 2hrs a day.  When I was busy I did not have the luxury of procrastination.

You can beat procrastination by getting things done right away.  Adopt the, “I do it now!,” Philosophy.  You can also create deadlines for yourself so you stay on track.  Now quit reading and get to work <with love> 🙂

Question of the Day: What have you been putting off?

Action of the Day: Check out the book “Getting things done” by David Allen for a good time management system.
