Affirmation of the Day: I am an active and engaged participant in life.
Have you ever played the role of a Witness when you should have been a participant? It happened to me a couple of times and in all the cases I have vowed never to let in happen again. One that stands out to me is being at the funeral of a friend’s Mother. She was just the sweetest lady who opened up her home and heart to all of her son’s friends. When I was at her wake there was something in my heart that I wanted to share, but I did not. I sat on the sidelines as others spoke their peace. I remember walking aware feeling like, “I should have said something,” but it was too late at that point. The moment had passed and I missed it. Never again!
