Affirmation of the Day: I break stereotypes by crossing traditionally lines
Quote: Mike, I don’t see you as Hip Hop.
The following statement was said to me on Sunday morning as I multi-tasked between playing catch up with folks I haven’t spoken to in a while and doing my household chores (got to keep my life, I mean wife happy). The obvious question is, What does hip hop look like? and who defines it?
My response: Hip hop is so diverse and has such a large range. I am hip hop.
Lesson for my readers, “You can be two things at the same time.” I can be an intellect, wear a bow tie AND rock a t-shirt and recite hip hop lyrics . Don’t let ’em box you out or box you in!
Question of the Day: What does hip hop look like in your opinion?
Action of the Day: Look at the different circles you run in and look for ways to merge them.
Run the Point; from where you are, with what you have!
Your Ambassador,
Mike Bruny
